I regularly get the question: “What’s actually happening with your house in Sudan?”
Usually, I give an evasive answer like: “We don’t know exactly yet. We have to wait and see how things develop.”
Meanwhile, we know pretty much for certain that the house is still standing, but otherwise, everything has been looted and vandalized.
The first videos we saw were from outside, showing our completely burned-out Honda Pilot. Since the idiots couldn’t steal the car because of the electronic immobilizer, they just torched it.
We also have videos from inside, which I won’t post here – I can’t even watch them myself.
We have dozens of these videos of looted and vandalized houses. These are not isolated cases. Every single house looks like this.

Ich drücke die Daumen, dass ihr das Haus nach dieser schrecklichen Zeit im Sudan noch einigermaßen gut verkaufen könnt. Versicherungen gegen Bürgerkriegswahnsinn gibt´s ja leider nicht, wäre aber wohl in Zukunft ein lukratives Geschäft…
